WHAT ARE POLYSACCHARIDES? When shopping for a mushroom supplement, it's highly important that you look for polysaccharide content. Polysaccharides are the principal beneficial compounds within mushrooms and mushroom supplements containing little or no polysaccharides will be of little overall value. Some products provide the extract ratio e.g. 8:1, 12:1, etc. however this method is outdated as it does not accurately indicate of the level of polysaccharides (the levels vary extract to extract).
